Technical requirements and application of arc protection clothing

Arc damage to human body: arc explosion burn is the most serious injury in arc injury, it mainly comes from the heat energy radiation emitted by the arc explosion and the splashed molten metal. The arc explosion can cause the clothes to continue to burn after being ignited or the clothes to drip, resulting in serious burns.

Arc protection clothing has the functions of flame retardancy, heat insulation and antistatic, and will not fail or deteriorate due to washing. Once the arc-proof clothing comes into contact with arc flames or heat, the internal high-strength and low-stretch bulletproof fibers will automatically expand rapidly, so that the fabric becomes thicker and denser, forming a protective barrier for the human body.

1. Arc protection clothing is a protective clothing used to protect the torso, arms and legs of personnel who may be exposed to electric arc and related high temperature hazards.

2. The arc protection suit can be designed in one piece or in two pieces.

3. The textile materials used in arc protection clothing should meet the requirements of GB 18401-2003 to ensure the health and safety of the human body during long-term wearing and use.

4. The comfort of the arc-proof clothing should be properly considered, and a loose design should be adopted on the premise of ensuring protection to increase the protection performance.

5. It is strictly forbidden to use metal parts in anti-arc clothing.

6. The arc-proof clothing should cover the exposed parts of the body as much as possible. The covering part between the upper and lower parts of the split design should not be less than 150mm.

7. The arc-proof clothing should be marked with the lower value of the fabric ATPV and EBT in a conspicuous part.

Anti-arc clothing, suitable for full-time or part-time electric employees in electric power and social enterprises and institutions, in daily work, in potential arc environments (but not suitable for wearing in special environments with chemical hazards, poisonous gas, nuclear radiation, etc.), and when escaping from arc explosion accidents .
