Classification of protection level of arc protection clothing

The protection level of arc-proof clothing is determined according to the range of heat energy value of the fabric for arc protection.

ATPV (arc protection thermal energy value) is the main indicator used to characterize the ability of materials to protect against arcs. Under normal circumstances, when the energy of the arc accident is less than this value, the material can effectively block and reduce the arc energy that passes through, and avoid causing burns to the human body above grade 2. And Cal/cm (cal/square centimeter) is a unit of calories.

4 levels of arc protection clothing:

Level 1: ATPV: 4≤Level 1<8CAL

You can wear a single-layer flame-retardant arc-proof shirt and trousers or a single-layer flame-retardant arc-proof coat

Level 2: ATPV: 8≤Level 2<25CAL

Can wear flame-retardant arc-proof jacket trousers or flame-retardant arc-proof one-piece coat

Grade 3: ATPV: 25≤Grade 3<40CAL

You can wear flame-retardant arc-proof underwear, tops, pants or flame-retardant arc-proof underwear, plus two flame-retardant arc-proof jumpsuits

Level 4: ATPV: 40CAL≤Level 4

Can wear flame-retardant arc-proof underwear, tops, pants, multi-layer arc-proof clothing

Level 4 is the highest level of protection
